With your membership you effectively support our global species conservation work.
As a ZGAP member, you will receive our member magazine ‘ZGAP Mitteilungen’ twice a year, which is highly recognised in the conservation community and reports on developments in our projects, addresses other topics relevant to conservation and keeps you informed about what we done. This magazine is produced with a very high level of voluntary work.
The majority of your membership fee, as well as all other the funding we raise and receive, is used directly for our projects. We also use these non-earmarked donations for our acute emergency funding initiative. Our administrative cost ratio according to the German Central Institute for Social Issues (Deutsches Zentralinstitut für Soziale Fragen - DZI) was 11.53 % in 2023 and is thus classified as ‘appropriate’ by the DZI.
With your membership, you are therefore specifically helping lesser-known but highly endangered species without lobby.

In addition to the membership fees we urgently rely on donations for our projects.
Please feel free to learn more about our time-unlimited projects in the category "Projects". Maybe you find a special species you would like to support. Under "Donate and help", you can figure out which projects have an urgent need of funding. However, it is always best to make an uncommitted donation, so we can send the money to where it is needed the most.
Our office is port of call for all questions and suggestions regarding your membership. A personal is contact via telephone is possible during business hours. We are available via email at any time.
Bianually, members receive our „ZGAP Mitteilungen". This journal is also appreciated by specialists and reports about progressions in the projects we fund, addresses further conservation issues, and provides information on our society.
We are happy to provide you with older issues in return for a donation. If you are interested, please contact our office.
Our general assembly takes place once a year. Here, we report about our work during the past year.
Members can join the general assembly, help shape our work and participate in decision making on the future direction of our work.
Please note, that the participation at the general assembly is reserved to ZGAP members, and only members with an account in balance are eligible to vote.
